Keeping Up With the Catdashians

The cutest slow-TV on the Internet. Watch as the drama goes down in the purr-fect little house of kittens

From Iceland we are introducing one of the most adorable live TV feeds you can find on the Internet: Four kittens living in an oversized doll house.

The overwhelmingly cute kittens are siblings and we call them the Catdashians (The Kattarshians in Icelandic, due to the spelling in our language) and we’re keeping up with them. They are unfortunately orphans and will stay in their wonderful house for 3-4 weeks until some nice people adopt them and other homeless kittens take their place.

Keeping Up With the Catdashians is a cooperation project with The Icelandic Cat Protection Society and with full knowledge and approval of the Icelandic Food And Veterinary Authority, the Animal Welfare Officer and the Expert Veterinarian and Animal Welfare Officer in Iceland.

Employees and volunteers from The Icelandic Cat Protection Society take care of the kittens and make sure they get a sufficient time with people which is very important. They also take care of housekeeping, cleaning the litter box and serving food. Meanwhile we take a break from the streaming. This happens 2-3 times a day.

Their characteristics, actions and relationships are what make this show such a success. In its first 24 hours the show generated approximately 3000 shares (Iceland’s population 300 thousand) and Icelanders have turned to social media regarding their adoration.

The people at SKOT Productions, Sagafilm and the news website nutiminn.is are proud of this project. We have been preparing and working on it for a year.

We’re using 3 GoPro cameras to record the kittens and their day-to-day activities including playing, wrecking the house and sleeping. This is all being broadcasted 24/7 and during the nights we use night-vision cameras to see the kittens snuggle together and sleep.
